The Australian Government's Solar Sharer Offer (SSO) will require electricity retailers to offer 3 hours of $0 electricity in the middle of the day. This is an opt-in program — you need to ask your retailer to sign up.

Available from 1 July 2026 in DMO regions

Smart meter required — usage must be measurable in the free window
