Martin Rudd: Director and Licenced Builder

Martin is the driving force behind Rudd Family Builders & Solar, seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with modern sustainability. As part of an unbroken, six-generation line of continuous family builders dating back to 1862, building isn't just Martin’s career—it’s his heritage.

With over 35 years of personal hands-on experience delivering high-quality residential projects across the UK and Queensland, Martin brings an unmatched level of technical expertise to every job site. In 2010, recognizing the future of energy-efficient homes, he expanded his skillset into renewable energy. For the past 16+ years, he has been custom-designing and installing advanced solar and battery systems tailored to the unique Queensland climate.

As a fully licensed QBCC builder, Martin personally oversees every project from end to end. From initial design and local council permits to coordinating trades and final certification, he ensures a seamless, stress-free experience for every client.

Lisa Rudd: Office Manager

Lisa is the organisational heart of Rudd Family Builders & Solar, ensuring that every project runs seamlessly behind the scenes. With over 8 years of dedicated experience in the solar industry and alongside her husband for over 30 years in the building industry, she expertly handles the company’s administration, scheduling, and day-to-day office operations.

Bringing a unique perspective to the team, Lisa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching. Her background in education has gifted her with exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills—qualities that reflect deeply in the way she delivers Customer Care. Lisa understands that building a home or transitioning to solar energy can feel overwhelming, and she is passionate about guiding clients through the administrative process with clarity, patience, and care.

Lisa’s structural oversight is what keeps the family business moving forward smoothly.

Lachlan Rudd: Solar and Battery Manager

Lachlan is looking forward to carrying on the legacy of the building heritage for the Rudd Family. He brings a wealth of diverse industry insight to his role, backed by over 10 years of hands-on experience across every level of the solar sector. His comprehensive understanding of the field was built from the ground up—starting out right on the showroom floor helping customers understand their energy options, transitioning into technical electrical wholesaling, and ultimately advancing to Solar Business Manager.

This rare 360-degree view of the supply chain means Lachlan knows exactly what makes a solar system reliable, efficient, and cost-effective. He specialises in vetting the highest quality components, understanding complex technical grid requirements, and managing projects smoothly from procurement to final installation.

Passionate about future-proofing Queensland homes, Lachlan uses his extensive technical expertise to design customised, high-performance solar and battery configurations that deliver real long-term savings for our clients.
